Having spent the last two years developing my own style of abstract painting, I decided that I would return to drawing in 2021. The result of that decision is this walroctopus, which represents the unholy union between a walrus and an octopus.

As the images below reveal, I have created a lot of fine texture through scribbling. With this method I have carried something forward from my abstract painting experiments, which relied on the splattering of thickened paint mixtures across many layers to build up texture and depth on the canvas.
